What are some of the goals of the IGDA Auckland Student Chapter?
* To connect game developers through local chapters
* To help you learn from your peers around the country
* Provide access to resources relating to game development
* Stimulate intelligent dialogue about games in our culture
* To increase the number and quality of trained, entry-level developers
* To become more effective as a group rather than separately
* To form groups to work on actual game projects
Where can I find out more about IGDA?
http://www.igda.org/
Is this the same as NZGDA?
NZGDA is a group representing commercial game developers in New Zealand. IGDA student chapters are aimed at improving an individuals skills rather than developing the game industry as a whole.
You can find out more about NZGDA at http://www.nzgda.com/ and then select 'about'.
Kind regards,
Stephen McIntyre
Interim President
IGDA Auckland Student Chapter
