Hi,

I am looking for help with my video game 'MyHockey'. Currently, there is myself (lead programmer/producer), a 3D artist, and a musician, but I am looking to expand the team. If you are interested in joining my team please send me an email too 'jeffmoretti (at) hotmail (dot) com'. Also, if you want to ask me questions about the project before joining, feel free to do so.

Also, feel free to visit the company website at 'www (dot) evermoregamestudios (dot) com' for more details on the game.

Here is the talent I am currently looking for:

3D Modelers

3D Modelers are needed for the modeling of all objects that will be used in MyHockey. Some of the objects you will need to model include:

•hockey players
•hockey sticks
•hockey puck
•hockey net
•hockey rink (hockey rink boards, hockey rink interior, seating)
•spectators
•sambonee
•referees
•scoreboard
You will also be expected to animate any objects that require animation (for example, hockey players, spectators, and referees)

2D/GUI Artists

2D/GUI Artists will be needed to create 2D graphics and user interfaces. Some of the things you will need to create include:

•team logos
•team jerseys
•hockey rink board advertisements
•scoreboard/timer
•game menus

Game Programmers

Game programmers are needed to program the many different aspects of the game. Game modules that you may be working on include:

•Server-side programming
•Client-side programming
•Game Engine
•Game Physics
•AI
•GUI programming
In addition, we will be using open-source tools to assist in the creation of the game. Such tools will include:

•Ogre3D
•RakNet
•ODE physics engine

Web Designer/Programmer

Evermore Game Studios will need a Web Designer/Programmer in order to provide websites to showcase Evermore Game Studios and MyHockey, as well as setup online tools (ie project tools and bug tracking tools) that will assist with game development. In summary, the Web Designer/Programmer will design:

•Evermore Game Studios website
•MyHockey website
•DotProject (project tool)
•Mantis (bug tracking tool)

Unity is free now and a great tool. Give it a whizz. I havent heard of hockey being done with it but a few people have done soccer. The mechanics wouldnt bee too different. Actually if you trawl the collaborration forum at their site someone posted an open source baseball game that was multiplayer. I havent checked it out yet tho. Heaps of examples and learning resources around for Unity now.

Good luck

Heres a post link at bottom of first post - obviously you need the (free) engine to run it
