From a QA stand point CVS can be used to preserve and encourage the integrity of a project.
Any one creating a large amount of digital media should consider a using a versioning system,
Now that I am used to using CVS for my own stuff I throughly recomend it and the Eclipse IDE.

Yep CVS is nifty, although if you're just setting up a repository, its probably more worthwhile saving yourself hassle in the long run and use Subversion.

Hi there guys.
In the past I've had a fair bit of experience with using SVN (Subversion program) while on a game mod team and can differently say it works well and is worth using.
Also alot of the time I found when uploading files thru SVN it would only upload the changed section of code, texture or what ever else was being uploaded. |
